A longtime favorite on E. 19th Street in North Wildwood, the Buccaneer closed following the 2004 season. Though a "demolition sale" was held in late October of that year, the structure remains standing today, vacant and neglected. A chain link fence was finally put up around the property prior to the 2006 season. At this stage, the status of "The Buc" remains unclear. UPDATE: On 5/12/2007 Heavy construction equipment and workmen were observed on the derelict Buccaneer property, including a demolition claw/bucket. It appeared that this legendary Motel property will be finally demolished. As of the evening of 9/12/2007, all that remained was a lot in preperation for new construction. R.I.P.
