In August of 1961, My Parents and I stayed Monday-Friday at the Palms. The Motel, I recall was owned by a Couple who had a son Billy (a year older than me) and the Father was either a Naval or Merchant Marine Officer. The Mom was the Manager. The Motel in 1961 had no Pool or televisions in the Guest rooms, just a radio. Billy's Mother invited me to watch TV and Billy and I had a lot of fun together that week. Mom and Dad treated Billy with a night on the Boardwalk. The hospitality was great. It was a memorable week.
