Casino Theater

Though it opened roughly 15 years before the 'Doo Wop Era' began, the Casino could rightfully have claimed to be a forerunner of the futuristic architectural styles that would later emerge, wowing patrons with one of the earliest examples of Art Moderne design. This was actually the third version of the Casino, the first two theaters on the premises having burnt down in 1922 and 1939, respectively.

Strand Theater

The Strand is the last remaining link to the once-dominant Hunt's movie theater empire in the Wildwoods. It is also the only theater in operation left on the Boardwalk (the Regent Theater now serves as the Boardwalk Mall, while the Ocean Theater still stands but is used as storage). Though its history has been largely forgotten, the Strand was one of the more significant movie theaters built in the country after World War II...
