The Holiday Inn ultimately became the infamous "The Grand Hotel", which closed after the 2005 season and was finally demolished during the 06-07 offseason.

The Grand Hotel was a box-like brown hotel built in the 1970's. It sat Vacant for a year or so until it was demolished in 2006. The new grand is being built in its place. It is about 14 stories tall, one of the tallest or the tallest buildings on the island. Kind of makes you miss the old one.
