Along with its next door neighbor, the Beau Rivage Motor Inn, the Acadia is one of the southernmost motels in the Crest. Large, albeit unspectacular in design, it stretches for an entire block, resting right up against Atlantic Ave. on one end and the beach at the other.
The Apollo Motel was built in The 1960's. Around 2001, the Apollo added a 3rd level, thereby getting rid of its triangular oceanfront roof line. The motel's rooftop neon sign is damaged with the A and the L missing so it does not light up at night.
Aquarius is a flat-roofed, four story, rectangular motel with continuous balconies. Clad in stucco. The first bay of the first floor is open, as a carport under the rooms above.
Built and designed by Lou Morey, the Attache debuted in Wildwood Crest in 1966, along with its nearby neighbors, the Cape Cod Inn, Fleur de Lis Motel and Yankee Clipper Motel. A key Doo Wop feature is the continuous balconies supported by square beams projecting from each bay that support a saw-toothed roof.
Historic Register: Located in the Doo Wop Historic District.
